Wedding Planning

One venue with which we have a close connection is Brantwood where our restaurant, Jumping Jenny, is situated in the former stables. Brantwood is a wonderful location for the ceremony, not only for the photographs, but also because of the possibility of having Jumping Jenny canapes served with Drinks/Pimms/Elderflower Presse in the house or gardens, then having a cruise on Coniston

Evening Wedding Parties at Jumping Jenny are very popular - for between 10 and 50 guests - whilst Belmount, which can accommodate larger numbers, is a ten minute drive in car or coach (perhaps in one of the old buses run by Cumbria Classic Coaches).

 

Flowers, Music, Wedding Cakes, Photographers, Hairdressers, Manicurists, Favours, and all the other details which may possibly not be organised when they should.!

There are excellent wine merchants in Cumbria for example Stainton Wines  ("Enjoy a little of our wine a lot, not a lot of our wine a little."), and an inordinate number of micro-breweries.  For example Barngates Brewery is

The Wedding Car

We can organise a wedding car service, using an original Rolls Royce. As yet, there is no website for this service, but please contact Chris for further information.

After sixteen years of helping people to organise their weddings - not just the Evening Party - Gillie has acquired an immense amount of knowledge and wedding business contacts, and can advise on any aspect. In fact, she does a mean Chocolate Wedding Cake herself  based on the superb Chocolate Cakes served at Jumping Jenny, so you can try before you order.....
And not to be forgotten, there is also Hokey Pokey Ice Cream, Gillie's link with her native New Zealand, which makes an incredible wedding cake.
